so for all those that didnt hear, my garrett 50 trim turbo crapped on me due to the nut that holds the compressor blade on came off and f***ed it up. so now im looking at my options for a new snail and more power. my goal has always been around 500hp and i found that i couldnt make that kind power with a little 50 trim with my 2.2 motor.
im looking at:
Turbonetic's GT-k 550
Turbonetic's 60 series 62-1
Percision sc61
Garrett gt35r
all three will be ball bearing CHRA's
i think these turbo's will do the job but im not sure witch one is the best bang for the buck.

lol, there are other legacys on here that would give me a run for the money

.
50trim garrett turbo runnin 20psi before the turbo popped
22 block .020 over for pistons
stock crank micro polished
eagle rods
wiseco pistons
20g intake manifold
96 LGT 25d heads - stock for now
FMIC with hks bov
invida exhaust
stand alone
AVO 255 pump - will be running twin 255's
565 injectors - will be upgraded to 800cc or higher
AEM wideband
act 6 puck Heavy duty clutch set up
im thinking that the Turbonetic's t3/t4 T66 .63a/r hotside will be my choice of turbo. its rated at 73lbs/min 700hp. Plus is bolts right in to my car! ill be running a turbonetic's external waste gate 38mm or bigger. run the pipe open to the rear of my passanger front wheel

You need a minimum of the 800cc injectors to take advantage of any of those larger turbos.

i figured that 800cc's would be a minimum cause that turbo is just massive. lol
ima send you a PM about my 525's getting modded if that would do the trick. or maybe buy a set of 800cc-1000cc from HPF.

With N/A cams your are going to be stuck at a little over 300whp. I've worked with a couple cars that have 55-60 lb/min turbos that couldn't get much past that with stock N/A heads.
So, are you looking for 500 chp or 500 whp? There is a huge difference. The local 35R 2.5L cars make around 400 whp on pump gas on a Mustang dyno.
That said, I happen to know someone selling a GT3076R .78 A/R twin scroll turbo with an EL manifold and half a DP. You would need a wastegate and to finish a little bit of plumbing.

i would like 500 crank hp and i know its no easy task. but slowly going up in hp will let me know if i really want that much power. i bought another garrett turbo, a T350 .60 A/R compressor housing. not sure on the size of the inducer and exducer because i haven't takin it apart yet. the exhaust side came with a 1.21 A/R twin scroll T4 that i cant use. so im going to have to buy a T31 T3 housing with the stage 5 76 trim wheel upgrade. i had a set of JDM wrx 20g shimless bucket cams that i was planning on using but, now i need to figure out some other rout. subaru quad cam heads should be able to flow a shit ton of air with no problem. just need a good set of cams and valve springs.
