Does anyone one know how to remove the pulley from the power steering pump on my 00 Legacy? It has a allen/hex head on the front. The reason I have to remove it, is because it is bent, and I am going to replace the seals in the pump.
Someone told me that it is welded on from the factory. Is this true?[/img]

No, I wouldn't think it should be welded on there.
Your best bet to remove it is to get a socket allen and fit it to an impact wrench. Other than that, I'd suggest an allen socket with a strap wrench to hold the pulley.

I got mine off pretty easy. Take off the bolt in the middle, then get a hammer and tap it off.

Does the allen/hex bolt turn CW or CCW?

Counter clockwise like just about every vehicle and all the parts concerning it. Hondas are the only vehicles that i know that have a reverse rotating engine (counter clock wise) and they still have counter clockwise bolts on everything.
