So ive got a 22t with 105k the previous owner threw the rod bearing...i just split the block and sure enough the bearing was nonexistant. What i want to know is...can i use the crankshaft and connecting rod from my NA 22 that came out of my 97 impreza outback?

thanks for the help

So thanks for the replies...I would like to explain my situation...I have a 22T with a thrown rod bearing. I also have an NA EJ22e that is in good shape but it has about 180k on it.

What i want to know is which of these options i should go with...

1. use the crankshaft and one rod from my NA 2.2 in the 2.2T

2. use the crankshaft and all the rods from the NA 2.2 in the 2.2T

Here are some pictures of the crankshafts...as you can see they are balanced differently...will that matter when i use the NA crank in the turbo block?

What should i DO!?!?!

Crankshafts are the same. Rods? Sorry, not sure. But according to 1stSubaruparts.com parts lookup they're the same...Turbo Pistons are different, for sure.

All Phase I EJ18/EJ20/EJ22 cranks and rods are the same, all forged. As wtdash said, they're even the same part number.
