Does the Aussie version of our "Hatch Badge" say liberty? the one that runs the length of the hatch that is part of the lighting.

umm ok above the license plate mine says Legacy...Not subaru

Yeah, the later ones were "Legacy", earlier ones "Subaru". I've never seen pictures of a Liberty wagon 91-94 that didn't say "Subaru" across the rear, so I would say they only came that way.

They had neither. In the Legacy/Subaru garnish location, it is the mount for the license plate. The Aussie bumpers don't have the license plate cutout like we do.

Well that would explain a lot. I suppose replying to posts before bedtime should be frowned upon.

So here, to make up for my ignorant reply, here is a 90 Aussie wagon rear.

i looked into having one shipped from AU, and it was over $300. i almost did it though because ive never seen one in the states before.

LOL I thought we were talking about Sedans as well! I guess I never realized the later wagons said legacy in the middle.
