melted some wires....oops

Ok, so I finally got my swap running (EJ22T in 94 impreza) and I took it around the neighborhood for 5 minutes then put it back in the driveway. Once I put it in the driveway it stalled out, I tried to restart it and nothing. It turns out that the turbo gets kinda hot  and I had melted some wires. I had them all wire loomed and what not but forgot to secure them so they were sitting right on the turbo. I haven't checked yet to see what wires melted but I'm pretty sure that this is the reason the car stalled.

Anyways, my question is, could the wires coming in contact with metal while the car was running have caused any sort of damage to the ecu? I didn't have time to re-solder the wires, but if I do should the car start again, right?

Thanks

I guess that all depends on WHAT wires melted

Ok I'll have to check next time I'm over at my garage. But there is a possibility that something could have been fried?

So I figured out which wires got fried, O2 sensor and ignition switch. I'm guessing that maybe a fuse could have been blown because the ignition switch wire goes to a lot of stuff. The fuel pump doesn't turn on when I switch the key to the on position. I'm really getting fed up with this project, please help :(
