Well that sorta depends. I know the older subarus with drum brakes had an auto adjuster. The way it worked is you backed up, and since the pads shifted to put pressure against shoes in reverse, they put a little adjuster clicky thing down where you could expand the shoes, or adjust them. So if they have something similar...then all you have to do is back up and go forward a couple times and your set. If not...then you just have to take the caliper off.....take rotor off...you'll most likely need a puller to take the rotor off, without damaging it. Get one at a parts store...look for one that looks like a three pronged flate metal plate, and comes with various bolts and so forth, there are two screw holes on the rotor you can screw the bolts in and popped the rotor off.
Once you have that off, you should see the parking brake assembly, and there should be a little adjuster to expand the pads out down at the bottom. You'll have to play with it to see how much to expand.....you don't want them rubbing when parking brake is off.
Hope that helps.
