heater blower does not work on 4

MY heater blower works on all speeds but 4. could this be the blower resistor or something else? Out of ideas

yea i was thinking the blower resistor but it could be the HVAC controls.

Typically, if it's the resistor, the blower only works on fan speed 4.

From the wiring diagrams, I would think it's either something to do with the wire or the HVAC controls.

that is what I was afraid of. Pulled the resistor and it looks fine. do you know of a way to check the controls?

You're going to have to pull the HVAC unit. More than likely there are some cracked solder joints.

You can d/l the wiring diagrams from my server, which will help in troubleshooting the wiring. That will help you eliminate the wiring, and whether the issue is in the HVAC unit itself.

If it is, you can try and find the cracked solder joint or other problem and resolder....or just replace it.
