WOT problems

My 92 Legacy SS is having issues at WOT.
The motor is stock, and has about 120k on it, and is attached to a 5-spd. At partial throttle, the car feels great, has plenty of power. At WOT, the car falls on its face. It is significantly faster at 50-60% throttle then 100%. If I floor it, then slowly let off, it actually lunges forward for a split sec. The problem was significantly more pronounced when the weather was very cold. My guesses are a bad knock sensor, clogged cat, or maybe a failing boost solenoid. I don't have a boost gauge in it yet, but I should have a revscan cable by next week that might help shed some light on the problem.
Anyone have a similar issue before? Any guesses?
I had similar experience with an 88 supra turbo, allow though that car would fall on its face as soon it saw over 3 psi of boost. It ended up being a bad knock sensor, clogged cat, and bad o-rings on a couple of injectors.
Thanks a lot!
