What to do?

My VF8 has started to spit out oil and making wierd noises. So, what turbo do i choose with my mods? I got a watercooled TMIC, 3" open neck- no cat exhaust, K&N panel airfilter, 440cc injectors. Running 19psi witch is pretty much what a vf8 can handle.

In a few weeks i'll get a walbro 255 fuelpump and 550cc injectors.

I've been thinking of a td05, or td06.

What to do?

TD05 is probably what I would recommend. Depending on mods, you should be able to max out the 550's with that turbo.

Does it have the 90 elbow built in (I can't remember)? I agree - go w/the TD05 too (you can find the older ones w/the 90 elbow on the UK Ebay site - cheap, but shipping is $$). STi VF39 (or it's newer VF43 relative) is also an option, even w/the 550's.

A guy over here wants to sell me a TD05 with a 90* elbow. This should be bolt on right?

Yes....except on the ones I've had the coolant pipe banjo bolts are bigger than the VF11/TD04, so get it w/the coolant pipes, unless your VF8's are the bigger size to.

You can drill out the vf11/TD04 coolant pipe openings to fit correctly.

TD05 on it's way :D With a 90* elbow and all the fittings.

Just wondering.. How much bigger is it than the VF8? And is the VF8 bigger than a TD04?

The VF8 is bigger than a TD04, though I don't think its anything to write home about. What mods are required to make an STI VF39 fit seeing as they don't have a 90 degree elbow?
EDIT: Now after some searching I see you can just use a 90 degree silicone coupler.
