I wish they would have made that style rear garnish and bumper for 91. Wonder how hard it would be to convert to a 92-94 rear end. I think you'd have to weld in the quarter panels huh? If so, F that.

maybe not, just like with the headlights you could possibly get away with widening the holes. no idea. find someone with a 92 and take half the day to just see what's possible.

Widening which holes? You know the 92-94 tail lights aren't as tall as the 90-91 tail lights right?

Is the difference in bumpers merely the license plate indent? If so, you could make one of those bumpers easily with a sheet of polypropylene and a plastic welder. I keep mentioning it, but no one seems to want to try it, but in this case, buying the welder and material would cost less than just charges shipping for the bumper. I'll say that polycarbonate (eg, headlights) is a PITA, but having just finished up some work on my own bumpers (repaired a circular punch-out from a 4" pipe and filled in two 3/4" holes from my fog light mounting with welding rod), I can say PP is a real joy to work with and I would think a 1st timer could do a good job of it on the 1st shot. The only thing about it is cleaning up the weld needs to be done with hand tools as power tools just clog.

Yup, It's all about the attempt to be "different". Remember back in the 80s when all the plates were up between the lights? I remember "kits" for 280/300zx, Porshe 924/944 -and other cars- that had a super cheesy lighted filler panel that went in over the factory plate location to give the "all-across" light look. And an equally tacked on looking bracket to put the plate down over the bumper.
I guess we've just come full circle. LOL
Personally, I really like the post-facelift sedan rear end. I would only change out the large "LEGACY" print for "SUBARU" and make the small Subaru badge say "Legacy" (like the pre-facelifts).

I know I'm the minority, but I'd rather have the USDM trunk garnish for the consistent rear end. Mine will have small badges that say TURBOAWD and OFDOOM.

Yeah....I like the USDM rear trunk garnish as well. It gives a much more flowing line...

I'm making custom garnish on my wagon that will have the car's name across it and won't be red (still haven't decided yet. I need to test out some ideas on scrap). I might end up going with black, like the AUS and EUR sedans (but not like the stripped Legacy wagon that had the black 1/2 trim garnish).

Very nice pictures. The Legacy looks well put together and the rims match it well. I'm also loving the slammed OBW. I'm slowing becoming a fan of the OBW sitting low. I like it

.
I want my rear garnish to say ""Thundercougarfalconbird" *10 points to anyone who knows what I'm referencing.

I seem to like the small lip wing on the back. Is that an OEM thing or aftermarket?

Futurama is some funny shit! I had heard someone say they were going to start making more....but not sure if that was a bunch of BS or not. It'd be cool if they did.
