i purchesed a garrett T350 .60 A/R M24 , 1.21A/R hotside twin scroll. the P/N is 471050 - 5001

i cant use the the twin scroll housing because the flange is bigger then my T3 on my up pipe. i have a .63A/R T3 housing and a .58A/R housing that i thought would work but it wont fit over the turbine. i put my old turbine next to the new one and its quite a bit smaller ( my old turbo was a t3/t4 50trim, 58a/r hotside housing 5 bolt ford style, internal waste gate) i did some reserch on this turbo and it looks like i might be able to use an .82 A/R T3 housing for a gt35r. but i dont know if i have to figure out the size of the exducer and inducer in order to know if it will fit over the turbine and if there are specific housings for this model.

i will post pictures to help out with my question. also i would like to stay internal waste gate if posible. but external is not out of the qustion.

thank you! :-D

Yeah, you will need an exhaust housing that matches your wheel. The housings are machined for a specific wheel.

You could talk to someone like ATP Turbo or Himni Racing to find a housing that will match. Or you could get a flange and modify your uppipe. Adding an external wategate would give you more flexibility in how you mount your turbo, and ultimately more control over your boost.

i just did the calculations on the turbine and it comes close if not to a 76 Trim. the inducer came to 2.795 (71mm) and the exducer registered at 2.437 (61.8mm). much bigger then my old 50 trim wheel. heres and ideaof the size defrence.

I think you should rework your uppipe and add an external wastegate with a turbo that big. 44mm wastegate too.

How far do you plan on pushing this thing?

well with the up pipe i have a couple idea's

idea 1
I found this really neat adapter pate that has a T3 on one side and a T4 on the other. plus right in the center it has a flange for a waste gate but it only excepts up to a 38mm.

idea 2
do what you said and modify my up pipe with a t4 flange and a port for a waste gate.

idea 3
just replace the flange on the up pipe and get a hotside for my turbo that has an external port on the side of the housing.

what sounds like the best choice? i like the flange adapter plate alot cause it gives you more options.

as far as pushing it, heh. as far as my fuel system will let me till i upgrade it more i guess.

It all depends on how everything will fit in your engine bay. Only you can answer that question.

Its good that you have options. I say you get the old Stanly tape measure out and do some digging.

roger that. ill be checking the clearences i have in the bay. i still want to change the ex-housing cause 1.21 is just way too big. it wouldn't even spool till 4500 i bet.

Or more.

One thing of note: I'm no sure why I was specifically called out on this. There are several knowledgeable people on here, and I by no means know everything. I merely dive in to things head first and learn from my results.

the rason i called apon you is because of previus conversations we've had about turbo systems. and also the only one i could remember at the timne who would know how to answer my question. i know there are lots of others on this fourm that are fully capible of answering my questions, and can chime in at any time.
