Hey everyone i was just wondering if there is a good thread or something to help me with this. I really want to do the 5 speed swap in my car. I wouldn't be doing this if i would of properly seated my torque converter and not busted the two tabs inside:(. I found a donor car for a $100 but its a N/A with the cable clutch. If someone could point me in the right direction and give me some tips it would be much appreciated. Ive looked at this thread
http://www.surrealmirage.com/subaru/swap/journal.html its just kinda unclear to me.

Well i know i dont want to stick with the cable clutch assembly so i was reading the thread and it looks like i need slave cylinder and Master cylinder and turbo pedal assembly i think. And is there any wiring that needs to be done to do this or is it all plug and play?

Look at my parts list. The journal isn't going to be as detailed as the parts list I provided.

there is some electrical required, like removing the shift lock stuff and wiring up the reverse lights. there's a few other things that i cannot recall at the moment.

Josh has a great 5mt swap write up on his website.
I have a fairly detailed 5mt swap thread in the Drivetrain forum -
http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic. ... t=5mt+swap
There are also several other great threads on this if you search for 5mt swap within the Drivetrain forum and within the title.
The swap is very doable and is well worthwhile. Do some reading up and let us know if you have any specific questions.
