bleeding lifters

im gonna bleed the lifters in my car today when i change the oil and im wondering how do you bleed them and take them out, im ready to start on that but i should know how to do it first

Pull them out of the rockers and just hold them totally submersed in oil while pumping them up with your fingers..

You need a pick or something to push the ball valve into the lash adjuster while you bleed them.


Get new valve cover gaskets when you do it. You may find one that is stuck, and I'd replace it if it is indeed stuck. I've had a couple stuck at various places in their travel, and one all the way down.

do you know the part# for theses valve cover gaskets ej22t ?

im also considering doing my lifter i have a sound here that i would like to share with you!
anyone know how or where to upload sound.
