Gauge selection

I am currently redoing my gauges on my A pillar. I will be running an Innovate AFR gauge and Autometer ES series Pyrometer and Boost gauge.

I have a couple of questions.

1. On the Pyrometer, should I get one in the 0-1600F range or 0-2000F range? What are the operating temps and dangerous temp levels?

2. As far as the boost gauge, should I go with a mechanical type or and electrical with MAP type? What are the pros and cons of both.

A 0-1,600 deg F gauge should be good

The mechanical gauges are going to be cheaper, and for the most part provide pretty good response. Their accuracy may not be as good, but should be good enough.

I second the 0-1600F range choice.
