Currently I own a 02' WRX Wagon but I am looking to sell it and purchase a 92-94 SS along with a 06+ Yamaha R6. I was just wondering what I should look for or be cautious about when looking to buy a used SS. It's going to be my DD and then I'm going to have the bike for fundays haha. Also where would you suggest me looking for them? They are semi-hard to find so should I just look around on forums and craigslist and hope I get lucky or is there anywhere else you would reccomend me looking?
Any other new or important info would be great too since I'm fairly new to Legacy's but not Subaru haha.
Thanks.

Age related stuff and bad modifications. These cars are pretty tough and, generally, anything wrong presents itself in a look around or test drive. There's not really much that goes wrong specific to these cars that doesn't glare at you.

Check for any leaks around the taillights and sunroof. Everything else is pretty basic

cracked rubber and plastic stuff on the engine such as coolant hoses of which there are many, often right near hot exhaust parts, intake pieces get brittle and prone to cracking,, and pcv pieces. a lot of the stuff down near the turbo gets a lot of heat and often oil leaking onto it so it gets messed up easily. leaking main seals and valve cover gaskets drip oil onto the exhaust. crunchy shifting trans. hack repairs are something to look for too ie RTV smeared everywhere, screwed up bolts, loose crap etc. if sunroof car check it doesnt leak or there can be mold and electrical problems.

This.
There are some common problems, axles, leaky sunroof, wheel bearings, but it'll all be pretty obvious, though you could ask if they've been replaced. The most annoying thing about my car is having to replace so many old hoses, they seem to get hard(and crack when removed) faster than my last car, they're cheap on they're own but the cost adds up.
