ive replaced the front rotors and pads, i need to do my cv's but im not sure if they car causing the problem. basicaly i get a serious shake at about 65mph and up coming fron the driverside. the wheels are ballanced and the rims are on right. could this be related to the cv joint or does it sound like a wheel bearing? plese help.
the car is a 94 wagon 4auto

If it was a wheel bearing you'd probably hear it making a lot of noise. Mine didn't even wobble at 110-120mph but it's making a loud whine.

Jack the car up and try to wobble the wheels and see if something is loose.

Look at everything suspension and steering related while you have it on jackstands.

It could be chopped tires from a poor alignment or tires that are out of round.

My vote is alignment, it's the most likely cause. It's not a bearing or an axle.

Try switching your front tires to the rear if the vibration in the wheel stops then its the wheel tire combo. If the vibration only occurs at a certain speed its most likely the tire out of round, slipped belt in the tire, wheel not balanced, wheel bent, I highly doubt its the axles that would make a vibration or the brakes. The only other thing would be the suspension, for how old most of our cars are the ball joints should be going bad, also the steering rack ball joints could be worn out,
One more question is the shaking felt only in the steering wheel or throughout the car like in your seat while driving at the 65 mph markl
