'94 LGT (BF) rear hatch FS in MN

Post by Numbchux »

My dad's car. chassis is very rusty, transmission just died, and we have decided the car is not worth saving, almost any parts worth saving will be saved to go towards it's replacement. But this hatch is definitely rare, and still usable. We always said, if we ever found one of these hatches for sale, we'd buy it. Just in case something happened to his.

Well....it outlasted the rest of the car. Yep, it's THE one. raised roof gen 1 leggy wagon. I've heard of people replacing the whole roof with a standard one because it's easier than finding a new hatch.

darker red in color. good glass. few scratches and surface rust, but solid. I believe the wiper motor works, I know we got a bunch of junkyard ones before we found a working one....But that's not unique.

I have no idea what to ask for it. But make a reasonable offer. We don't have much into the car and it's served us well for many years, and we'd very much like to see it go where it's needed. I have a friend that works at a parts shop that may be able to ship it, if necessary, but local pickup very much preferred.

It is currently on the car in Alexandria, MN. But will probably eventually be making the trip down to the Twin Cities. Once my dad gets another wagon (looking at BG Outbacks with a blown motor to put his 2.2 in), he should be able to transport. he usually makes a couple trips to Leadville, CO, and Florida over the winters, so he may be able to bring it along.

I will subscribe to this topic, or I can be emailed through my website ( http://www.numbchuxconversions.com ).

bump. partout is on. Shell will be gone before too long. We will hang onto this rear hatch though.

It's now at my parents house just west of Minneapolis, MN. But he drives all over the country (retired bastard!). Also, I'm crew chief for a rally america team, so we'll be traveling, probably with room to haul it along if necessary. We'll be going to NEFR (Maine, mid-july) this year, and hopefully a full national season next year.

Bump. Apparently I was not as subscribed to this post as I thought....but it was red and the driver's handle was broken....

Silver03, the '94 GT had a raised roof like the outbacks of the next generations, and therefore the rear hatch is a different shape...

Shell finally went off to be crushed. But, we saved the rear hatch (and some other stuff that's not for sale  )

Talked to my buddy who works at a parts reseller, He said for $150, he could put it on a pallet and package it to make sure it gets to you safely. Anywhere in the continental US.

Make offer. It has no value to us anymore, but we just couldn't throw it away.
