Clocked Turbo - back to stock?

I bought a VF22 that I'll likely sell on here soon, but it came from a rotated setup.

EDIT: It's 'clocked' not rotated.

Can I just loosen the clamp on the exhaust side and rotate it back to stock location?

Thanks

It sounds like what your trying to do is reclock the compressor cover, right?

I'm not familiar with the vf22, but if it's anything like the TD05, if you loosen the clamp all it will allow you to do is rotate the CHRA(center section) along with the compressor cover together. IF you do this, all the coolant and oil lines will rotate as well.

To reclock the compressor cover itself, you need to remove the snap ring or tabs (whichever it uses) and turn the compressor cover to where you want it, then reinstall the snap ring or tabs to secure it to the CHRA.

Maybe someone with more experience with the VF22 or VF39 can chime in.

post a pic of the turbo and i can tell you if you need to rotate anything.
a rotated setup usually refers to the turbo placement, its "rotated" twards the right side of the engine bay

Just loosen all the bolts a little bit (remove the 2 on the wastegate) and rotate the compressor housing 90* clockwise and put the 2 bolts for the WG back into the compressor housing and tighten the rest
