Anyone here try this? Looks pretty legit i think. I might give it a shot when i get my wideband.

If you don’t mind it leaking, and if you don't want to mount your sensor near the top of the downpipe, I'm sure it'll be fine.

Seriously, just take your DP and have a muffler shop (or any welder) and have a bung installed.

Not every muffler shop will cut your DP. Actually I'm pretty sure just about any one will except the one in Chehalis at Yard Birds. I took my stainless down pipe there and the guy told me he didn't want to cut the hole in the pipe because it's stainless steel and it would destroy his bit and he wouldn't cut my pipe with a saw of any kind and weld in my high flow cat because it would ruin his saw blade. I was astounded. Took it to Muffler Man in Centralia, wa and told him what the last guy said and he couldn't believe it.

But yeah, it'll be really cheap if you have a muffler place do it.

If it does leak, it's kind of a big deal -- it can throw off your wideband readings, That said, have you had experience with one of these kits leaking, SLODRIVE?

Honestly, I've never used one. I find it's really easy, quick and cheap to just weld a bung in the proper place, on top of the downpipe in the case of these cars, and there's no way a clamp could seal on that curve. Besides, you still have to pull the downpipe to drill a hole in it no matter which way you go. I guess it might be okay further down the pipe, but that's making a compromise right there IMO.

well i trust myself to weld an O2 bung. i welded my muffler on myself. it's not like im new to welding. i just thought this would be a cheap solution to weldin in a new bung. but whatever, i'll just weld a bung.

So how does this o2 bung attach to the pipe if its not welded? I'm not sure but i think i'll buy one and give it a try.

You just drill a hole in the pipe and then the clamp holds the bung over the hole. There's a gasket in between to seal the clamp against the pipe. Seems okay to me in principle, but due to the way the exhaust expands and contracts every time you drive, I imagine it wouldn't be as long-lived as a simple welded-in bung.
