Axle Shaft Assembly

Hi, after taking my car a long time ago to be checked. The mechanic gave a list of things that need to be fixed or changed in my car, one of them is the front axle shaft, both sides. That cost 122.63$ for each side (245.26 $ in total) labor is 89 $. I am thinking to buy the axles somewhere and have him or someone else put them. I found some axles in Autozone but i dont know what s better for my car, also using the paper the mechanic gave me i saw '' DTA SB8623 '' besides the discription, so i thought it was the part number, i looked it online and found it in this site http://www.clearlakeautomotive.com/uspa ... 25777.html
it's cheaper than what the mechanic told me, but the one in this site is just the left cv drive axle, and i need both the left and right. Here are the ones i found in Autozone :http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/ ... ing=search
I still dont get what that CORE stands for.
Any suggestions on what i shoud do? do i have to go with the Autozone ones? i want to know what do you think guys? thank you alot and sorry for this long topic.
My car is 1992 Subaru legacy wagon L 4-2212 2.2L SOHC automatic ( i dont know if it's 4wd or Awd)
