I think it's 2.25"

There's several threads where I believe this has been talked about if you search.

From what I remember exhaust piping and most piping in general is measured by the O.D., not the I.D.. Most exhaust piping has a 1/16'' wall, so the I.D. is usually 1/8" smaller than the O.D. . I didn't realize this until after i put 2.5'' exhaust on my car, I was really disapointed when I measured the I.D. and it was only like 2 3/8". 3" exhaust O.D. is more like 2 7/8" I.D. .

It's been awhile since I've done all this so I could be wrong, later today I'll go measure my exhaust I.D. and O.D. to make sure. If I remeber correctly the stock exhaust is 2 1/4'' O.D. which should make the I.D. like 2 1/8".

I was wrong^. The wall thickness is 1/16" , so subtract 1/8 from the O.D. and that should be the I.D.. My 2.5" O.D. measures like 2 3/8" I.D.. I measured my stepdads exhaust as 2 1/4" O.D. and 2 1/8" I.D.(note that this is on a pickup truck not a stock SS).
