I hit 20psi after installing new mbc. what went wrong?

So I'm just running a 3 inch turbo back and upgraded drop in panel filter.
I had installed a MBC a few weeks ago which would not go below 13psi so it would hit fuel cut in the higher gears and rpm's.
I bought a Hallman ES and installed that tonight and hit around 15 to start. no cut. Checked everything out and I had forgot to connect a few vaccume lines.
So put those back on and did a large adjustment and hit 20psi. After looking at the directions again it looks like it shoud be set around 3/4 of a inch and then be adjusted in very short increments.
Could I have broke the Mbc from adjusting it from one extreme to the other? Also what should I be checking on the engine to see if I broke something?
The car ran perfect before during and after all this.
Sorry for the newbness.
Thanks.

do you have a fuel cut defender? if not, don't go more than 11psi

What turbo you using? I found that I had to switch to the harder spring with my Hallman MBX, otherwise it couldn't properly/reliably control the TD05 waste gate. However, the soft spring worked just fine with the VF11.

This is why I bought the hallman so I could set it at 11 or 12 psi but I cant seem to get it below 15 psi for some reason.
I adjusted it from all the way in to all the way out and was wondering if I screwed it up.
I'm going to try again today with much smaller adjustments.

I have the Vf11.
I just hope I didn't brake anything. That was alot of boost.

I went for another run and seem to have gotten it down to 15psi but I'm not having any sucess getting it lower then that. And it's not hitting fuel cut for some reason.
I did find one large hose that's loose after my coffee mug on the rubber intake that I can't seem to get back on.
I will post a pick later today.

Are you sure the MBC is screwed all the way out?
Are you on boost for more than ~3 seconds? If not, then no fuel cut. Still not good for the engine.

If you have the MBC lines hooked up backwards, it will hit full boost. I did the same thing and hit about 23 PSI. Immediately got out and switched them and it works fine. I have the TD04, so i would imagine it would let me boost higher than the vf-11. But try swapping the lines and turn it all the way down and see what that does

if that doesn't work then talk to jake, when i was talking about my MBC i got from him, he said something about adding some sort of restrictor in line from the compressor housing to the MBC.

o yea i remember seeing some sort of "in-line" restrictor type thing that came with the MBC when you buy it, but I bought my hallman used and it wasnt included. Haven't had any need for it yet though
