I just recently changed my transmission fluid. I have a 90 L m/t wagon. My haynes manual called for 4.2 quarts of fluid. I put in just under 4 quarts and it was perfect right on he money full. I know it's not the original transmission because the person I bought it from told me it had been replaced. I don't think there is any sludge in there because the fluid thatcame out didn't show any indications of sludge but there's still a chance there could be build up in there. I was wondering how I could know what kind of transmission the one that is in my car now. Is there any numbers I could check to know if it is the one that originaly is suposed to be in my car or which car it came from. There is nothing wrong with it( it is actualy perfect in my opinion) I would just like to identify what model it is.

There's numbers on the trans bell housing near the starter. The number will start with a T, write that down and compare to this chart.
