so i have a little bit of rust on the bottom of my legacy... i live in ohio so its expected so i was thinking about fixing it and shooting black on the bottom portion of the car tell me what you guys think. i haven't done it yet. i used wide electrical tape to give me an idea. i don't have the money to repaint it the factory color... let me know your honest opinions. idk if i should do it or not.

I say go for it. Other Subaru models give our cars some credbility as still pretty stock looking with blacked-out rocker panels and bumpers. It looks way better than saying f-it and keeping it primer gray like too many people do.

ok i mean i like it then i don't because i'm gonna do this all the way around below all the black trim. so i thought it may look stupid on the front bumper.

It definitely doesn't look bad going around the bumpers

Its black satin finish rustoleum according to the poster of the other thread. I'd stay away from truck bed liners for the outside of your car, unless you plan to play bumper cars. That stuff is rough and won't look pretty, along with creating more wind drag.

Yeah I'm kinda a redneck when it comes to paint. And I'm slapping some duplicolor bed armour I have left from my jeep paint job. But I'm just puttin it on the rockers and around the inner wheel wells. And hopefully I'll get this done this weekend if all goes right. And I'll post some pics up for you guys.

I loved that car so much. Painting it was tons of fun both times. My buddy has it now and is supposed to be on here sometime soon.

I'm gonna be different here and say I don't like it. But it definitely beats rust or mismatched panels, so why not? I'd use bedliner personally, I feel like it'd add to the off road kind of look, but that's just me.
And jesus christ dude, next time just ask for a photoshop

Hey I wanted to get the look of the actually thing instead of on the computer. Plus I has a bunch of 3inch wide electrical tape. And I'm gonna use some Bedliner on it. I gots lots left over from my jeep. Plus it'll make nice chip guard on the rockers.

No kidding. I'm not a fan. Even tho I did everything in the garage. It's not insulated or heated so atlases I was out of the wind. But I never wanna do it again. To hard to get the paint to look right.
