Studded 14" snow tires what size other than 185/70R14 ?

So I am aware that there are some clearance issues on the subaru's. I have a 1990 legacy 5spd awd and I need to get some used studded tires. How big can I go on stock 14" rims without tearing things up?

Well I guess it dident matter after all. I found a set of 185/70R14 studded snow tires with one season on them. Mounted and ballanced $170 out the door. YEAH for traction!
So now all I need to do is build my bull bar / push bar whatever you want to call it, scrounge up some used hella 500's or something like them, and I will be all set for winter.
