Hood latch problems

Been having a hood latch problem with my 92 Legacy and was wondering if anyone else had this problem where it just dosen't go down all the way

something from the engine sticking up too high?
the rubber adjuster post/screws on each side of the engine too far up?

no it's like the latch wont keep it own all the way...the engine is all stock but the hood dosen't go down all the way..

Clean it all and relube it. Funny, I wrote a scene involving this into my second book.

You might not feel as good to know that in the scene, it's a girl who can't close the hood on her Accord. FWIW, though, she does end up building custom cars, including a Legacy wagon that uses Chaparral 2J trickery to stick to the road.

No, but building cars is one of the things the main character does to occupy himself away from the criminal life in the 3rd book. There's a little racing in it, but most of the scenes involving cars in the series are either solo or much more violent.
