I did a search and it seems the N/A frankenmotor is an ej25 block with ej22 heads. Is this correct? And does anyone have any idea of how much power one would make? I might attempt this if its not too pricey. Another question, would it be better to get the block then pull the motor out of my car to swap blocks or just get the block and heads and assemble out of the car then do the swap for less down time? I can get both the block and heads from local junkyards so I'm just wondering whats advised.

I'd strongly recommend buying the parts and putting it together b4 touching your car...wouldn't mess w/your running motor 'just in case'.

Edit: From HERE- I also measured the thickness of the MLS HG I used, and it was 1.51mm, just like I thought. So I have the 10.8:1 CR frankenstein motor. So if you use the phase I EJ25 block, and the phase I EJ22 heads (dual port) you get 10.8:1 CR.

Thats what I was thinking would be best cause you never know what can happen with motor builds, and I did take a look at the two links you posted and it seems like building this will be pretty simple if I have everything needed before I start.

I have a 92 legacy wagon with a 98 legacy ej25 w/ 92 ej22 heads. The thing runs great, although it really does not have much power... I bought it like that. I have really nice torque. First gear hauls ass. But i get to second and my power is gone.. there's pretty much no pull whatsoever.

BallinSubie, is your wagon stick or auto? And do you have any idea what the highway mileage is? And, finally how does it pull around 50-60?
