I may be interested in one, does it come with a installation disc to update. I read it plugs into a computer. have you tried this on any newer car?

The only thing you will need to update it is a mini USB cable(same as for most cameras) and the updates are available on the Black and Decker website I believe, I have used this scanner on a 06 wrx and my 02 impreza OBS . That's the newest car I have used it on , but other people involved in the group buy used them on newer cars I believe with no problems.
