hello guys.
i just had a timing belt, clutch at the workhop. i then drove the car for a 40 miles, and then i changed oil and filter on it. i started it up later that night with only some coughing. oil pressure rised to 4 bar immediately. minus 14 celcious outside. it idled very nice for a while until i turned it off. exhaust looked normal.
but the next day, the car would start up, and then die seconds later. then i changed to a k&n air filter, added a mikayo fuel filter. still no start, only cranking. starter works very nicely.
when i crank it, i hear a "poof" sound once after 3 rotations i think, instead of it starting up it just says poof on every third "crank sound" sorry for my bad english.. so my guess is that it gets one cylinder-ignition, and then no more. i think this poof sound is the sound of an ignition.
the car gets fuel to the filter, we tested that. that was before we attached the mikayo fuel filter to it. my battery has been fully loaded up, and the light on it is green. no CEL codes stored. i dont know how old the plugs are, but it started up without too much coughing before i changed the oil and filter.
When i bought the car, it was an old code stored, namely 11, crank sensor. i think this might be the culprit. but im also afraid that the mechanic failed with the timing belt attachment. i really, really dont hope thats the problem.
do you guys have any inputs? it has been minus 19 degrees celcius at worst here. but its around minus 3 at nighttime these days.
edit: this is my old thread with my old, deleted codes http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=44259
