Let me start with how i got the car. A month ago i bid on this at auction, it was a CA car, the auction was in N Hollywood. I bid 400, and the agent got the car for me for 450. Then on top of that, about 450 more in auction fees due to it being a "non public car" it was supposed to be dealer only. Well, 1080 more for shipping the car to me in Iowa, it arrived like this on Jan 1 2011:



I got a rust free fender, new bumper cover new bumper beam (all used) for about 135 buks, and went to work. I am getting some finishing touches done soon, but thought i would post it up. I still have to go get the salvage rebuilt inspection, this car will hold previous salvage title. Still working on making the headlight have a little better fitment. Car is 17 years old, never ben rusted, shows 159k miles of use. Not perfect, going to redo the bumper cover, the first paint is a bad match (terrible paint match) but i got a different can for the fender and rear spoiler it matches decently so will get more of that paint for bumper.

asking 3000. I did the bodywork and paint myself. What i got here is a rare 5speed ABM that I chose to save from the crusher or being parted out. I kept the stock wheels for my other SS for summers, put on the WRX i had, and am swapping free flow exhaust onto this from my other SS, and the stock xhaust from this will be kept. Don't like my price sorry, i have 2750 into this, just to save it.

front seats dirty may shampoo up may not. I got some NOS from 2003 Impreza seats fabric, brand new never sat in removed from a car when it was new and had leather installed. MAy try to install onto these seat fronts...Everything works minus the bent power antenna. Back seats are fine. Tires are decent not new not terrible. All 4 are same make model brand size, and wear. Runs nice. Will not need much more if anything for reliable DD. There was a CEL for knock sensor and i replaced that. NO CEL on this now. Airbags were fine before i started on it.

Timing belt looked pretty new from when i checked under the cam cover. gave it a fresh oil change Castrol 10W-30 GTX and Wix filter.

I could have bought a rusty crusty beat one for 1500 around here and fixed it up, or started like this one is with solid and not beat, pay the shipping and then fix. I am jobless now and nobody is hiring. If you want another Subaru i have a BRAT and a BAJA for sale as well. If i priced it less, 1. would lose money 2. people would ask for partout

bump for a clean DD. even with the salvage title, the price is good for a well running sport. salvage title from a board member doesn't concern me like an external seller. nice color, btw.

Also, I have never sat in WRX 02/03 Seat covers that I plan to install on the factory front seats, better than cleaning the old ones up. They were removed from a new car at the dealer. These are the seats with the charcoal sides, and the woven black/blueish green inserts, so will look nice with the cars color, if they will fit then the front seats will be almost new, well the outsides will be NEW.

free flow exhaust




corrected the fitment of headlights hood etc. The earlier pics do not show this correction. waiting on warm temps this weekend to wash the car and get more pics.
