OUR SUBARU:
1994 Legacy AWD wagon, 2.2 Liter gas engine (original), 5-speed manual transmission
OUR CURRENT PROBLEM:
We have an oil leak that recently developed in our Subaru. It leaks like a sieve.
It leaks from the left side, front of the engine. The motor oil runs out, it doesn't just drip. We put oil stop-leak in and it did nothing. We have no idea what's causing the leak.
Has anyone had this problem?
Any suggestions?

Can you try taking a picture of the area? I have an idea what it might be.

Your problem is likely an oil seal on the cam shaft or one of the seals on the valve cover. If it's the cam shaft seal, you should also replace the timing belt as it will likely be covered in oil and can possibly fail prematurely.
If it's just a seal on the valve cover, the grommet bolt seals or valve cover seal itself, it shouldn't be too bad to replace.

Thank you for the feedback, everyone!
We in the middle of a serious cold snap here. Once it warms up (a relative term, of course) we'll get under Subie's hood and address this leak.
Thanks again for the tips.

The very neglected SS I had just purchased awhile ago with 255 000 Kms had oil pouring out every seal on the front of the motor which was causing it to smoke since it drips onto the exhaust manifold. I did both Cam and crank/oil pump seals as well cleaning and re-assembling the oil pump as well, There was also an O-ring that leaked in there. The Cam housing O-ring where the Crank trigger also leaked.
So after all that ( as well as TB, WP, Idler & Tensioner bearings ) It still leaked onto the manifold on the passenger side. Did the VC seals and grommets and now it only leaks PS fluid
Hopefully the rear main isn't leaking
