Hi there. Im wondering how wide of a tire can i stick on my 1993 legacy turbo. Its got KYB GR2's and H&R lowering springs.

Im thinking of getting some rota's for my car. I just want to know of some know sizes that will work with my car.

Thanks.

They be 18x8.5.

SO i guess i will need some hardcore fender rolling.

Asfor you MikeyMeyagi what is your suspension setup? You riding on coils or something? Because you have a VERY wide tire there!

Tell me how you did it!

Thanks!

That's huge. It's gonna be a bitch to fit them under your car. You're barely going to have any tire on those wheels.

yup, on coils. -1 deg camber with minor fender work. wheels are 17x8 with a +45 offset. I actually just bought new wheels with that same size and offset as you want to get, with 235-40-18's and i think they will fit perfectly. once i get them in the mail ill test fit one and let you know what size tire i reccomend if you would like.
heres how it looks with the current 245's

sorry the pics are crappy, the tires are flush with the fenders....

Hmmm ok then. Its a good thing they make Grids in 17's.

So really with my setup i should be able to run a 215/40/r17 without to much fender rolling.

And it should be able to run the 225/45/r17 aswell but will need more messaging.

So after seeing all of these replies i have come across some basically free tires.

They are the stock tires off of a 07 legacy spec B!!!

Now see the only problem that i see with them is that they are kinda tall.....

...215/45/18...

Running the numbers through the miata tire calculator and they are 35mm taller....

NOW from saying that. Do you people think they will rub?

I have no clue myself.

I know that i have been running 195/65/15 snow tires for like 3 years and have had NO issues.

Please tell all! I dont care if i have to sell them for the "right" size. Tho the tires are like new so i would really not want to sell them.

And for the speedo, i dont care one bit.

Tho looking at the sitting beside my car they look HUGE! Like friggen huge... maybe too big.

Thoughts???

Yes, that tire/wheel combo will most likely rub the fender and the strut.
