Is there any trick to replacing battery cables (pos and neg)? I scored some nice new cables and my ground hardware is pretty rusty (bolts). But i noticed it looks like the battery cabling runs through the harness....bad to yank it out of the harness and replace?

Nope. Easy. I replaced all my power and ground wiring with 4 gauge. It goes into the fuse box so you'll need to unbolt the fuse box and then underneath I think you can unbolt the power wire going to the fuse box and replace it but you'll need to crimp a terminal ring on the end of your new wire. Just run 8 gauge to the fuse box. Then there's one that goes to your starter through the harness. Same thing here but I used 4 gauge on that one and then 4 gauge to the starter. Then do the grounds and always make sure you use the same size on the grounds or larger.
Great upgrade.

I used 1/0 for hot starter and 2 gauge for grounds

...something a little smaller for the frame ground, but not sure it was 4 gauge. I love "scrap" cable.
Didnt do the fuse block hot wire yet

I'd say that's a bit overkill but if you want to spend the money. I wouldn't just because it wouldn't be very flexible and it's harder to work with. What's scrap cable? Are you an installer?

Cost me $15 total (for terminal connectors and clean bolts)
Nope, where I work we go through 1/0 and 2 gauge like nothin...so i found a ton out back!
Definitely overkill, but free overkill. And yea, its a pain as far as bend radius goes.

Yeah that's dirt cheap. Well free is pretty dirt cheap lol. 1/0 cable retail is not cheap by any means though. Shit, 4 gauge is spendy in my book.
