My car just isn't running right after a slight over boost

Ok so I just newly installed a td04 and a turbo silencer delete. And it's running like crap. It will idle great then go to drive it the boost wants to start up at around 1500 rpms and then all there is is the turbo making boost but the engine has no power. Until about 2700 rpms. I over boosted it yesterday not knowing I didn't hook up te wastegate solenoid. And it was driving awesome before that. It went to about 14psi. And I saw it and let up of the gas instantly. And drove it home going 20. Bc it was in limp mode so then I disconnected the battery for the night and actually went and bought a new one today finally. And went to drive it and it does the crap above. What should I do now????

I'm getting so frustraighted my car has been down for 2 months now wait for a turbo all the silicon parts gaskets and new intercooler and y pipe. And I just want it to run...

What did you over boost too?

Similar thing happened to me in my supra, and it wound up being a very hard to see/reach intercooler pipe that popped right off the turbo. I thought the motor was gone @ the time. Fixed the hose and she ran perfect.

Might be worth taking a look at, i know there arnt many intercooler connectors on a TMIC, though.

It went to 14 maybe 15 and I instantly let off the turbo is winding up great couldn't be happier. But ok I just swapped all new stuff so I'll take a look at my intercooler connection. Thanks!

maybe your boost is blowing out your spark that happened in my car when I added just 3 psi re gap your plugs to 36-40 thousandths see if that works

Alright I'll do that to the plugs and wires were changed under 1000 miles ago but never hurts to check thanks everyone I hope I figure it out.

I doubt its spark. I'm running stock gapped plugs and TD05.

You install a FCD yet? If not, you should've hit boost cut after being at 14psi for more than 2.3 seconds.

How do you know you were in/are in limp mode without a scan tool? There is nothing you can physically tell different when its in limp mode (except the hp decrease). Pulling the battery doesnt reset the ecu, read http://legacycentral.org/library/literature/codes.htm.

check your MAF and for vacuum leaks.

I never got any codes. Ok I just said I figures my car went into limb mode. I did not wanna run that much boost yet. It was a test run for my new td04. I only wanna run stock boost right now. I drove it down the street watching boost real closely then coming back I took my eye off of it for one second looked back over and it was about 15. Then I suddenly slowed down. So I figured it went in limb mode. I did not connect my wastegate or wastegate solenoid. To the wastegate never opened.

a good point was made here, you should try and reset the computer the right way there's a system ware you plug these two green harness' together and put the car through a drive cycle, also even if the spark was not the problem you should re-gap your plugs anyway because, 44 thousandths is tooo much for a car pushing any more than 8 psi and if you want you can get 1 step colder plugs too to help save you from detonation, fuel cut defender is a must! BTW

Ok I'll try resetting it that way. Still seems like leaving the battery unhooked for 16+ hours wouldve reset the computer. But I'll try that. Anyways I got a propane torch not lit and tried looking for leaks in the connections. And the idle never changed.... So I got puzzled. So then I went for a more in depth search and found the leaks my intercooler to tb hose none silicone connector from a previous owner wasn't staying connected kept slipping off. So I ordered a new silicone hose from siliconeintake.com I personally like the stuff it's cheap but it's good quality. So I should get that stuff early next week. I got 2 hump connectors one for the part of the turbo that connects to the y pipe. And one for the throttle body. Strange thing I thought was my vacuum was awesome when the motor was idling correctly. 18hg can't ask for better.

But thank y'all for the help! I really appriate it!

Yeah stock turbo gap is .039-.043.

The stock gap on the plugs is fine, the stock plugs are fine, and 14 psi is not enough to cause you any issues. As it's been mentioned, you likely have a hose that's leaking.

Do you have an intercooler?

Yes I have an intercooler. I found where a small leak could be. At the tb and intercooler. So hopefully that's what all it is.

Well yesterday I go my silicone pieces I needed! And today I installed em! I'm really excited bc it's running awesome! I'm so happy with it. My td04 kicks in nicely about the same range as before. Now I forget it... But also my silencer delete sounds awesome I'm really glad I did that. But thanks y'all for the help!
