Another 2.35 Stroker Build

I spun rod bearing at 210k miles in my original ej22t, after looking for another motor or crank/rods for a month and a half with no luck i decided to pick up an sti crank and rods. Got the setup for $250 and they have 40k miles on them.
Im wondering whether i should machine the crank to accept #3 thrust bearing or machine the block for #5 thrust bearing. I have read that some in the past have experienced crank walk with the #3 thrust.
Also what main bearings will i need for either option?
