Hello there LC

I have had the pleasure of buying BC5RSRA's mint car.

I will post up pics of the car today and I have a great camera and a sunny day to work with.

The car has 196,XXXkms original kms has been lightly modified and I'll restore a few missing items.

Well it's either the part that snaps into the clip wears out and no longer grasps or more likely it's the part inside the visor that has worn out. It's cheap to replace at the junkyard and I doubt it's repairable.

the problem is the visors are different from japan, I would prefer to keep the car as original as possible.
I even have the owners manual in japanese!

Does the RS have special visors or are you referring to other parts?

Hey diesel do you mind posting pics of them in your album?

JDM visors have all the seatbelt and airbag warning labels in Japanese, and the vanity mirror is on the other side as well.

Question for you diesel, why does yours have chrome door handles? Every RS-RA Legacy I've ever seen has body-colored door handles.

You've got a tach that goes to 9K and redline is 7.5K! Crazy.

Canadian instrument clusters read 220km/h and 8k tach I am more surprised with the 180km/h speedo. I have seen many 89-91 legacys with chrome door handles and even owned a parts car that had that too.

All the 90-91 legacy's had chrome handles. 92-94 have painted handles. But I think he's saying the RS-RA is supposed to have painted handles.

ahh yes I have some posters of the original ads and its got the chrome handles on it.

Cool! Odd that it has AC but not ABS. Is that how it was originally?

afaik this car is equipped correctly there are pics in the owners manual of the engine without abs and with a/c
i'll scan the manual when I can spare the time

got the original rims back with new rubber to close out the season

It's interesting how the bumpers look the same as the US cars (at least as far as I can tell). The front bumper on my car is considerably different.

Do you know if it has absorbers and bumper beams?

its got the beam and foam liner but its not the same as the bumpers here but very close
I have the usdm bumper on my wagon and the jdm bumper holes are a bit larger for the fog lights and rad otherwise its the same

My 93 has chrome handles, not sure if replaced or??? and do the pre facelift bumpers fit on 92-94 models w/ out modification?

I don't think they fit the fenders or headlights but I may be wrong.

i swapped parts and cut the beam a little to swap things around on my wagon

I was looking and the facelift is so bland
