Hi guys, I'm from Iceland and I'm stripping down my 2.2 1gen Legacy.

I was told that EU headlights were different from yours. What is the difference and how much do you think I would get on ebay for my headlights?

Top one '92-'94 Facelift
Lower one '90-'92 Pre-Facelift

They're glass and use a better EU beam pattern (US lighting regulations were a joke that stagnated for about 40 years and took a little longer to recover). The pre facelift US Legacy lights are horrible—not noticeably better than the sealed halogen units that the early 80's GLs had, which is like having a dwarf hanging off your bumper holding a candle in front of a reflector. I think people ask around $300 US for them.

What about the taillights?

The tail lights have the "rear foglights" that the U.S. never got and you can sell them on ebay or sell them on here as well, along with the headlights. I know the glass headlights are a prized item and sell fat on here.

People are always looking for a black panel from the trunk of the sedans that runs between the taillights. US models have a red reflector piece that a lot of people don't like.

Really, the market for the glass headlights would be the US and Canada. So if you want to sell them for asking price, why not sell them here? Not too many regular subaru owners willing to spend that kind of cash on their car that's worth only 800-1200, except on an enthusiast site.

This black panel? How much could I get for these? I think I could make a living out of this I can get these lights for under $100 so on ebay for $300 is a great profit

What's the 90-91 prefacelift tail lights look like on the sedan?

Yup, that's the black panel. I have to agree with people that it looks better than the US reflector. To me, ideally, the Euro rear bumper should be put on too since the US model has an indent to mount the US size license plate in it rather than on the trunk lid, but I'm not sure how many people would want to spend that much. I'm not sure how well the US plate would fit in the Euro size indent, either.

That's awesome. Great pics. I love that slammed green wagon but I don't like the wheels. Was going to add it to my wallpaper collection but the wheels killed it for me.

I lke the facelift tail light center piece but I don't like the preface one because they left that stupid reflector strip across the top which just makes it look like the rest of it broke off.

It can be painted or replaced—it's only acrylic. The unit can also be taken apart and if you can chemically strip the reflective paint off the inside. The plastic is cut into a diamond pattern on the back (which is how they achieve the facets on the reflector), so repainting that on the inside (say black) might have an interesting effect. Or maybe not.

feed us more glass headlights!!! ill take some but I have more "important" things that need fixed first.

You own all these cars? I love them all! I'm very jealous of your collection of great cars and the stance on all of them is hott. That rear diff is SUPER low. How do you even drive it without breaking it on the road? That dark blue legacy with the gold wheels hits the spot and I really like the older silver subaru. What model is that?

Own them all yes. Well, the Charade is sold, and I recently sold my SRT-4 too.
My Leone GL-10 is 1986 with power glass sunroof and power windows. Converted to RWD and I'm doing an EJ22 swap now I have coilover sleeves for Honda Civic and I turned it all the way down before taking that photo, that's too low to drive like that

Bought 15" Cragar 343 Sixer rims, 8" wide for my GL-10.



And my Honda wasn't subaruee enough so I put her on Sub hubcaps:
