Whoa. Probably the only 911 I really like.

Can you guess what it is?

Are you asking me that? If it's not a 2.7 RS, then it's a good fake based on a lesser model. There's no engine there to see if it's got the 2.7 RS's magnesium block and I can't see the glass to tell if it's got the thinner glass. My books have 2 German cars that aren't owned by the bad guys: a Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3 and one of these, or actually an aesthetic fake based on the 911SC.

Wow you really do know what it is. Yeah, its an RS with a full restore. Motor is missing because the owner found another original motor that was a very close serial number to the body of the car, so he bought it. Haha. And the reason i took a picture of the original "plastic" gas tank is because my friend was telling me it was like 12-15K for it! I was shocked. Then he told me what the car was worth. Jaw drop.

Awesome car! The Ferrari logo on the trash can is also great.

That is my dream car

Well close anyway, wouldn't mind a 73 RSR. Duck tails are so hot. I would settle for that though

I was at the Rennsport Reunion at Lime Rock, but that was before a digital camera, so I've nothing to post. Brumos Porsche brought a 956 which the driver wrecked. The owner laughed when he saw the look on the driver's face when he made it back and the car was brought over on a flat bed. Having seen most everything else before, I was actually most excited by the 959 that was there.

Love the early 911s. Was the proud owner of a 1966 912(911 with a 4cyl engine) for an abreviated period. I was young and married and parts cost big bank. Finally decided it was more than I could handle(financially) and let her go.

Might as well do a slant nose conversion while they're at it.
