The pictures of the fire are actually pretty neat. I thought i was looking a time lapsed volcano or something. Maybe a shot of a car coming at you while you stood off to the side of the road during the day would look cool. So that the front of the car would be in focus, but the rear would be all elongated. Idk if thats possible, but would look cool.

Are you using a tripod or something to make sure the camera stays steady?

Tripod is a dollar store one lol. Its the best I've got currently but it only raises the camera a max of 7.5 inches, I would have a much larger one but the camera adapter is missing. Due to the tripod size, I was using a tree for support when I took the highway pictures.

That brush pile put off some interesting sparks. How long were the exposures?
A good (or even decent) tripod will make long exposure work much more rewarding. You don't even need super long exposures if you're trying to get trails from passing cars. This shot was only 10 seconds.
Keep playing and post up the results.

Try setting the timer to take the picture instead of pushing the button(which I assume you're doing), that intial bump can really mess up a pic.
