What year transmissions can I put in my car?

Hey guys (and girls)! Haven't been on in a while, I blew the transmission in my 91 Legacy Auto FWD last October and parked it. I've been traveling around a lot with my team competing since then so haven't really had a chance to fix it. It only has about 60k on the car so I hate getting rid of it. Can anyone tell me what the newest transmission I can bolt up to my car is? I know I'm not going to find as far as I know 94 is the last year that will. Thanks for the help people.

Basically, I found a 95 FWD tranny with 70k on it for only $200. I'd like to try to put that inbut dont want to run into issues with harness connectors or TCU

Really? NO ONE here has blown an auto tranny and tried to replace it with a newer one?

The FWD transmission are pretty similar, more so than the AWD's. You should be able to use the 95 FWD transmission.
