Yo bros I got a gopro, it's rad fo sho.

Had a blast. Had a new codriver, my Dad, in the car for fathers day. Got lost in the notes quite a bit but it was still fun as hell.

Which attachment for the gopro did you end up using?

My average speed was 56.4, that hairpin really kills the average speed!

I want to say I was in 3rd for that section, but I'm really not sure.. I wish I had another GoPro for incar at the same time.

Josh I used the suction mount for all the out side footage. The solid mount incar is a ball socket type mount, mounted to the X. Gopro is attached to that with the standard screw type adapter. Helmet cam is using the sticky 3m gorpo mounts.

Yeah I did see that one. I'm glad he didn't get the start when I had it in 3rd. :rolleyes:

Cool. I've got mine and the suction cup, but would like to figure out a mount that I can setup inside the car and mount to the head rest post.

Headrest post is terrible. far too shaky.

If you have a sunroof you can use the suction cup upside down and flip the video in the gopro options menu. Or to the side window glass inside too.

I have used it on the inside of the windshield with the camera inverted and selected the option for the video to be inverted. That turned out alright. But it may not be desirable to have something on your windshield in a rally.

I have the top 1/4 - 1/3 of the wind shield covered in vinyl already so having it up in the corner would be ok. I think I'll try that, but looking back at the crew. I'd like to see what kind of faces I make when I have "moments".

I tried out the sunroof glass when I first got the gopro and it's set back far enough that it captures the steering wheel so you can see your steering inputs.

Yeah, that's kind of what I would like. I'd like to see a bit of driver input on the video, rather than just what's in front.

I'll have to look and see what works since I don't have a sunroof.

Maybe stick it to the dome light?

I'll be getting more vids next weekend at the Mt. Hood rally. I have 2 gopros this time too.
