1988 Subaru Justy FWD (front wheel drive) 5 speed manual trans. If you need a cheap, reliable, fun to drive little econobox this car gets 35 mpg and won't require a loan payment! Mileage is unknown since the odometer on these cars doesn't have a digit for the 100K mark. Says 22K but who knows how much it really has. Runs great, starts right up but you have to give it some gas for about 20 seconds before it will idle. Typical subaru carb engine. Or you can just drive off and it won't die. When it's cold it does hesitate below 3,000 RPM but it warms up very quickly and runs like a champ. I've had it up to 75 on the freeway and it will easily do more I'm sure.
Other than some paint blemishes, a couple tears in the seats and a dent in the rear hatch this car is in excellent condition. The interior is complete with nothing missing and even has the rear deck lid that hides everything that's in your hatch! Tires have tons of tread left but the struts could use replacing as one of them in the rear does clunk on hard cornering with passengers in the back. It has a tow hitch!
All glass is good, no leaks. Original radio works and even has OEM external tape deck but I haven't used that before so I don't know if that works.
Spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, timing belt and brakes were all replaced just recently and I did a valve adjustment when I replaced the timing belt. Comes with spare axles, new starter and alternator, intake filter housing and radiator fan. I don't know why but the previous owner included these in the sale. None of which seem to be bad on the car so they've just been sitting in my garage.
Any questions please ask here or pm me and I'll get right back to you. Thanks!
$1,300 -
$800, come get it! I don't even think I'm breaking even at this point...Slap a couple struts on the back of this car and you've got a great reliable car that's fun to drive and looks awesome!

Thanks Beast! There's still a small chance I might swap 4WD into it and EFI but if I can get some money back from it to buy another car to fix that would be the smarter choice for me.

Me too. I nearly died the other night coming home from work. Two stupid cats were getting down and dirty on the side of the road and when I saw them I drove into the other lane to try to avoid them and one of them decided to run across the street so then I swerved suddenly between them. I thought the damn thing was going to roll! Needs new shocks.

Yeah, the only animal I'll risk hitting something else for is a moose. I actually had a squirrel commit suicide with me once. I watched him standing on a curb as he watched me come down the road, which I thought was a little strange. Just as I was reaching him, I saw him dive under my front tire. In the rearview, head was smeared up the road.

If this was in the Northeast, I would pick it up without a doubt.

If it doesn't sell before WCSS, you could have a friend drive it there and, if it doesn't sell at WCSS, back home. Or take so pictures of it with you to show people.

I can't count on friends to commit to anything. They bailed on me the last two shows and always at the last second.
