legacycentral bbs

so i recently bought a 91 legacy SS , and i have a 3 inch exhaust for a GDB wrx. I was wondering if it will fit the the car and if not what do i need to change, secondly i need a down pipe i was wondering if any of the wrx down pipes fit and if there is a brand that is comonly used?

The exhaust is a similar shape, but will need to be lengthened.

A GD downpipe will work, but is a bit long. The BC downpipe is the same shorter length as the JDM GC downpipes.

The longer GD downpipe works well to cover a bit of the length you will need to add to the exhaust.

Ok so then how long do i need to lengthen it, i know on my BE9 i had to extend it 6" and relocate exhaust hangers on the car.

A wrx downpipe is about 2" longer. I had an exhaust shop cut mine and make a slip fit joint. Now I can adjust the length so it's perfect. With a catless downpipe and the rest of the exhaust factory by car is almost as quiet as stock.
