I hope someone can help. I have a 94 turbo wagon with a dissembled motor. I have most all parts but can't work on it any more. Hurt back real bad. And like many these days there is no money even if I could find some one to work on it.
I have a non turbo ej that runs ok and I am wondering if any one has made this swap and what problems were encountered. For help I will probably have a helper that may know which end of a screwdriver fits the screw.

my first motor i took out by myself lol took me a week to prep lol like 3hrs pulling after diconected well i had tranny with it and thats making sure i dont break nothing but with just the motor it took me an 1hr and a half not realy rushing my secound time i just took the drain plug out of rad took off top intake manifold then 2 motor mount bolt then every thing was drained removed all that then 4 trany bolts i only had a lil problem seeing the one driver side botom one then the 4-6 bolts out of the torque converter are whatever it is to split the block
TOOLS 10-14mm sockets 3/8 breaker bar and a flat head screw driver and a crow bar
also i the exhaust manifold lol i used a crane but if u had 2 ppl could probly pick it out but not you with your back lol i wouldnt try only said that because me and my father picked it up and tossed it on a truck and im not big at all 6ft 170pounds

What's wrong with the turbo motor that you don't want put it back together? If there is something wrong in the short block I would just swap the NA shortblock in and run it like that.
Also, I've never understood why anyone pulls the intake Mani off before they pull the engine, it's a completely unnecessary step.
