WTB 1.5 DIN Radio Compartment

I need the 1.5 DIN compartment with the hinged door on it. I have a single DIN one on my car now but with my aftermarket head unit it leaves a sizable gap in my radio compartment.
I'll buy it off your for a reasonable price or I'll trade you if you happen to need my 1.5 DIN compartment for the stock radio or something.

I'll keep my eyes open for one at the local junk yards.

$36 from dealer.
~$50 shipped from 1stsubaruparts.com

You might not want to spend that much, but I grew tired of trying to find one and laid down the cash. Well worth it, that little gap bugged me to no end.

Or you could just put a flat panel across the gap to fill it for almost nothing.

I've got a plan for my gauges. It involves selling them and replacing them with something else.

Thanks but I'm not that desperate for one. I'd sooner glue in a piece of black ABS than fork out that kind of dough for a plastic compartment.

I used a thin piece of styrene I cut it in an H pattern with the vertical legs thin. The ends of the outstretched vertical arms were drilled to match the screw pattern of the console trim piece that surrounds the stereo area. I painted it and installed it underneath the console trim and it looks like it came with the car. The styrene holds the paint pretty well, too—I've yet to scratch it. The only sort of trick is, if you have the pocket with the flip lid underneath it, trimming it so that the lid can open without interference, but not leave more gap than it needs. It's not difficult, though, and if the pocket is on top or you have the lid flip down instead of up, there's no interference to worry about (well, there might be with the stereo depending on where that is).

why don't you want them? which ones are you selling? I have a boost gauge and wideband, but I wouldnt mind an EGT or fuel pressure, or consider whatever else u might have

I found a very neat electronic device that shows boost and it also allows you to hook up an auxilary input such as an LC-1 wideband or you can monitor voltage and other readings. It's digital and looks sick but it's $260 so I'll have to sell my gauges and throw money on top of that to afford it.
I only have a boost and AFR gauge and they'll be for sale as soon as I get this new unit. Won't be for a while though. I have to replace my wheel bearings and steering rack and some bushings first. I'm guessing 2 months or so they'll be up for sale.

Am I the only one that thinks the dealer price isn't all that bad? Considering it's a "rare" item in the used market and a J/Y one is likely to be damaged or scratched, finding a new one for less than $50 seems reasonable.
That said, I've got a good one Kimo if you cover the shipping from SoCal.

what ever you want, i payed like 4 dollars for it, so that and shipping i guess. it's got a small dent on the front. but other than that it's in tact though a little dirty.
