I've searched for a while and haven't really seen a straight answer so.....

I'm looking to replace the clutch in my 94 NA 4wd 5sp.

What in your mind would be a good stock or slightly better then stock replacement??

Thanks

Ryan

The 2.5 n/a clutches should work. They may be slightly larger in diameter, but it "shouldn't" matter. I'll let someone else comment if they have direct experience.

I'd probably suggest sticking with an Exedy clutch disc & pressure plate. They do the OEM discs.

I changed mine out with a OEM replacement Valeo clutch. I wanted the Exedy one but I had to use what I could get on short notice ( I was stranded at my parents in MS where the guy at the parts store said "what's a Subaru?"). I rallycross on mine and it is holding up fine so far. I think theoretically you could use a clutch from a RS or a '06 WRX but you would probably have to use the fork for that clutch since the TOB is bigger and the pressure plate is stiffer - this is where you run into a problem. Those are both made for hydro clutches so if you were so inclined I imagine you could notch one of the forks for use with a cable but I didn't want to mess with it when I did it. If you end up using one of these clutches then take a picture of the fork before you install it. I can still get my hands on a '06 WRX clutch and get bored sometimes.
