looks like paint over paint. just wax it, if that doesnt work, buff it. itll come right off.

If it's her fault, her insurance should have to pay for it.

sand it down with some medium sand paper. then go with a fine grit to smooth it out. paint to match. or, just clean the white off and let it go.

It was a hit and run at one of the local shopping stores. Somebody said it was an old lady with a White Toyota Prius. Thanks, i'll go ahead and try that.

She probably didn't even have a clue she hit you. You could see if the shopping store has any video cams you could look at.

Well, it's an easy fix. I had almost $3k worth of damage done to my Mazda in a parking lot by what I suspect was a woman in an SUV (the hit was at a higher bumper height, I assumed the rest drawing on personal observation of SUV-driving women). And I had parked away from everyone so it wouldn't get scratched. . .

If it's just paint exchange do not sand it! All you have to do is buy a clar bar kit and rub the shit out of it for 20 minutes probably and it'll come right out. However, you will probably still see the scratches but the different color paint will come out. It will look much much better. Trust me, I just did it on my gf's civic with black paint and yellow paint on top of it. I thought the paint was screwed but googled how to remove it and that's the answer I found and it works great. Just takes a lot of elbow grease with the clay bar.

BTW, her car was much worse than yours. The contact patch was bigger and it was also on the lip below. I think she was driving drunk and hit one of those yellow painted cement poles in parking lots. Can't think of anything else that would scrape both the bumper and the lip which is way down low and wrap around from the front around the side!
