So after having my car for about a year now and having alot of weird stuff going on I finally got it running really good and took it for a long road test and once I got off the highway it started over heating after looking into the thermostat and the whole cooling system I read from alot of place that subaru had alot of issues with head gaskets I know that more of the ej25d phase two engines did but my friend had similer symptoms that I was having. So after ordering up new head gaskets, water pump, thermostat, tentenor, timing belt, and getting it all back togeather the car for some reason now the car didnt start I have checked the timing and at first I feel for the whole arrow on the crank and read that its actully the notch on the tone wheel so redid the timing belt again and now it is running really ruff and doesnt want to go and sounds like it might be missfiring. The car at idle is pulling around 18 inches of vacuum before it was pullling around 21 i did recheck all the vacuum lines and conections and found nothing wrong or missing.

sounds like a timing problem.

yeah, it sounds like timing. Have you taken a timing light to it? Also, the manuals tell how many teeth apart the timing belt should be between each cam gears and crank gear. I had issues when i did my timing belt, every time i went to put it on, the driver's side (if i remember right) cam would move a hair out of alignment.

Well i got my timing all set finally. I turned the engine over like 10 times to check it and the cam's and crank feel on the marks. Now for some reason i am getting a misfre on cylinder number 1. I have check all the electrial going to the injector and i have sorce voltage at the injector and then i took a diode based test light and check to see if the injector was being grounded by the computer which i was. I dont think it spark based because im sure if i have a bad coil pack it would miss on both 1 and 2. So im thinking that the injector failed mechanically.
