my 92 legacy ss stumbles when boosting over 10psi

Alright so I pressure washed off my engine yesterday. I covered all what I thought were the nessesary sensors to cover so they didnt get wet such as the MAF, TPS, sensor mounted next to the tranny pitch stop ect. After I spayed it off I used my dads leaf blower to dry it (done this many times before). I let it sit for about 2 hours ish. I drive it home and whenever I hit 5 psi or higher its stumbling, back fires etc. This has happened before so I figured there might be some water drops in a harness plug or something. So I check them all, blow them out. I let it sit overnight and try it about noon today. It doesnt stumble until I get past 10psi. So Im not sure what to think at this point. I noticed that the bottom left female coil pack hole was a bit corroded so I tried to clean that off. I also flared all spark plug wires that attach to the coil pack hoping that it might give me better results. That didnt seem to help. Should I try just resetting the computer via negative terminal removal? Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Grant

Have you pulled the other end of the wires off, see if any water got down by the spark plugs? Go ahead and give the ecu a reset too.

As far as the maf cleaning, they sell maf cleaner at most auto part stores... maybe walmart too. Just take your airbox off your car and spray inside your maf.

Yeah, pull the spark plug boots out and see if there's water in the plug holes. Also, I'd suggest you check the boost related sensors on the passenger strut tower.

I cleaned the maf and that made no difference. I'll try checking out the otherside of the plug wires. Wouldn't water have evaporated by now. I'll also give the ecu reset a try.

In theory it should, but it doesn't always work that way.

the plugs look rusted but I dont see water, or moisture. There is rust color residue on the plug wire ends. I reset the ecu, hopefully that works
