looking for affordable struts

HI,

Legacy Wagon 92 awd non turbo, regular suspension (independent swing arm mcpherson if I m right)

It looks like I'm gonna have to replace my front struts soon. THey make a pffff noise and clunking noise at times... Nothing horrible when driving but I feel like the whole frame is talking the impact when I go over bumps. THe steering seems to have gotten a bit harder too (I believe it gave me a lighter feeling before).

From what I understand it should be the struts to replace only (and hopefully).

I'm on a budget, so looking for used decent struts or new ones. Would it be smart to look at a junk yard (don't really like that option)?

I'm removing a set of ~'06 WRX struts and springs from my car soon. They're in good working order. I'd be willing to part with them for a reasonable price.
Where are you located?

I'm in the Bay Area (ca).

I'll be happy to get them off your hands if they fit my wagon!

If you don't go with a used set, KYB GR2's are a good replacement strut.

Will that work or do I need the entire piece? As far as I know it's just the strut itself that would be damaged...

Otherwise found the whole piece for 56$ on amazon...

You need application specific struts. What you linked are just shocks.
